Brand Video
We partnered with Salsa Society to create a cinematic brand video that captures the heart of their studio—where dance, connection, and belonging come together. From interviews and hero-style dance portraits to energetic social-night footage, we shaped a visual story that reflects their inclusive ethos and professional teaching style. The result is a dynamic brand film that invites beginners and experienced dancers alike into the Salsa Society world, positioning the studio strongly for community growth and digital engagement.

Project Objectives
Capture the essence of Salsa Society’s inclusive and welcoming studio culture.
Showcase the professionalism and charisma of the teachers through stylised dance portraits and candid classroom moments.
Create a brand video that builds trust, attracts newcomers, and supports future marketing across web, social, and paid platforms.
Project Scope
Creative Planning:
Collaborated with founder Dion to define the studio’s key messaging and emotional tone. Structured the video around themes of connection, confidence, and community. Developed an interview-led structure with a cinematic look and feel.
Production:
Filmed interviews with Dion and his teaching team, studio b-roll, and staged hero dance portraits using controlled lighting. Captured real class footage and immersive social night scenes during the Winter Arts Festival.
Post-production:
Edited the brand video with rhythm, warmth, and layered messaging. Included colour grading to create visual contrast between portrait and event scenes. Delivered multiple formats for web and social use, plus all raw assets.
Results
Salsa Society now has a powerful brand film that brings their story to life. The video serves as a centrepiece for their website and digital campaigns, helping reduce intimidation for first-timers and strengthening the studio’s presence within Melbourne’s Latin dance community. The content also supports organic social growth and can be adapted for future class promotions or festival partnerships.
Lessons Learned
• Emotion-led storytelling resonates most with new and beginner-level dancers.
• Mixing structured, cinematic shots with raw social moments balances polish with authenticity.
• A warm, conversational tone from instructors builds instant trust on camera.
• Contrast in lighting and pacing (controlled vs energetic) helps showcase both the professionalism and the social spirit of the studio.
